Climate change is having a dramatic impact on Everest's glaciers, making the ascent increasingly dangerous for climbers and Sherpas. This documentary follows mountaineer Marc Batard in his project to open a new, safe route, bypassing the perilous Khumbu Icefall. Alongside glaciologists and scientists, the film explores the effects of climate change on the Himalayan region. For several months, in France and Nepal, Marc Batard has been preparing an extraordinary project. To prevent accidents on the infamous Khumbu Icefall, the passage discovered three years earlier must be made more accessible for Sherpa porters. An expedition led by Marc Batard then travels to the slopes of Everest to equip the new route, in a challenging construction site at an altitude of over 5,000 meters…
